You are the best investigative reporter at the best newspaper in town--the Muckraker--and you are ready to lay bare the facts no matter what it takes or who it exposes. You are ready to:
  • Race through town to secret meetings.
  • Ask other players probing questions.
  • Be the first to "dis-clothes" the truth: Which two, well-known, D. C. residents have been uncovered in flagrante delicto. (And where.)
  • Free shipping within the United States. (A little more to Canada.)

"If you like laws and sausage, you should never watch either being made."

That statement is attributed to Otto von Bismarck. A related characteristic that he was too polite to mention is that both often include a lot of bull.

War. The economy. Natural disasters. Health care. Crime and punishment. Energy. Social security. Education. The budget and taxes. Terrorism. The environment. These are just some of the important issues facing our country and the world on a daily basis. But what is the one issue that seems to be at the forefront of all incumbents’ thinking? That’s right: Their own re-election.

Other problems come and go as they will, but getting re-elected is a regularly recurring event. If not re-elected, the incumbents won’t be there to deal with those other problems. And they need to be there because they are obviously the most qualified to deal with them....

Otherwise they wouldn’t have been elected in the first place.

Every policy reversal, every position flip-flop, every pork barrel dollar spent is justified if it only helps address that most critical issue.

All others can be dealt with in due time.

You pay taxes and politicians play games with the money. Isn’t it about time that you have some fun at their expense?
